Below are some recommended elastic lengths for Trimsies diapers. 3/8" lastin is the only type of elastic that I have good recommendations for currently, but feel free to use whatever elastic you prefer.
Small
Suggested unstretched 3/8" lastin lengths:
Back elastic: 4"
Leg elastic: 4.5"
(These are the maximum elastic lengths recommended for the small size diaper.)

Medium
Suggested unstretched 3/8" lastin lengths:
Back elastic: 4.5"
Leg elastic: 6"
(These are the maximum elastic lengths recommended for the medium size diaper.)

Large
Suggested unstretched 3/8" lastin lengths:
Back elastic: 7"
Leg elastic: 7"
(You can use more or less elastic than above to customize the fit of the size large diaper.)

You may not need to stretch the elastic as much as you are used to when sewing it onto the diaper.
Below are a few sample measurements to help you determine how much elastic to use to get the perfect fit for your child. Please note that your results may vary, the measurements below are just averages. The measurements of your final diaper will depend on what type of material you use, how many layers of material, what type of elastic you use, how much elastic you use, and how much you stretch the elastic while sewing it into the diaper.
Small Fitted
3/8" lastin lengths:
Back elastic: 3.5"
Leg elastic: 4"
Diaper measurements:
Back: 10" to 16"
Legs: 6" to 10"

You may find that when you make a fitted and an all-in-one, both from the same size Trimsies pattern and using the same lengths of elastic, that the final measurements of the fitted may be slightly larger than that of the all-in-one.
